Happy (belated) New Year!

It's been a while since I had time to compose a post.  It's been a rough week-and-a-half.

First off, Happy New Year, everyone!  May 2013 be happy and peaceful.

So, on the way to our New Year's party, we blew a tire.  Nothing adds that certain je ne sais qoui to a 16-hour trip like waiting for AAA to come put on the emergency spare and then having to find somewhere to buy tires.  Aside from that, the holidays were free of major events - always a good thing.  The cats are staying with my in-laws until we swing by to pick them up on the way to Texas - and from the photos of them staring at the front door, I'm not sure whether we miss them more than they miss us.

More recently, we waved goodbye as our cars rolled away on the back of a carrier.  There's about a 2-in-10 chance they'll beat us there.
